Q&A Sessions: The philosopher Pascal said that "man is a thinking reed". Is what he said correct?

Pascal called man (people) a thinking reed because a person's mind changes frequently according to one's thoughts. The human mind cannot help but change because people are ignorant of Truth. A person's mind and thoughts were formed to help one survive, but it can have the opposite effect when one does not know one's origin, one's true self. Truth is that which never changes, so when a person comes to know Truth one will no longer be confused by those who pretend to know.
